You’ve worked hard for your wellness credentials! Maintain them by earning CECs through NWI courses and events.
Approved Continuing Education Provider
The organizations listed below have designated the National Wellness Institute as an approved provider of continuing education or have pre-approved individual NWI educational programs for continuing education credit.
Pre-approval differs for each NWI educational activity. Refer to the NWI CEC Approval Chart for the number and types of CECs that are pre-approved for each NWI course or event. Programs must begin within the approval dates noted on the chart to be eligible for CECs. If an activity is not pre-approved for the type of credit you require, you may petition your certifying body. Acceptance of activities that do not have pre-approval status is at the discretion of the certifying body.
PRE-APPROVED ORGANIZATIONS
ACSM: The American College of Sports Medicine’s Professional Education Committee certifies that “National Wellness Institute” meets the criteria for official ACSM Approved Provider status from (December 2021 – December 2024). Approved Providers and their content reflect the concepts of their respective organizations and do not necessarily represent the positions or policies of ACSM. Providership #661228.
NWI CWP: NWI Certified Wellness Practitioners (CWP) may earn NWI Category 1 CECs through participation in NWI courses and events and through educational programs offered by NWI Pre-approved Providers. View a full list of programs currently eligible for Category 1 CECs toward CWP re-certification.
NCHEC (CHES®/MCHES®): National Wellness Institute is designated a provider of Category I continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Note: Only select NWI educational programs and select National Wellness Conference sessions are approved for advanced-level CECH or for Continuing Competency (CC) CECH. Provider ID#:100859
HRCI®: HR Certification Institute’s® (www.HRCI.org) official seal confirms that National Wellness Institute meets the criteria for pre-approved recertification credit(s) for any of HRCI’s eight credentials, including SPHR® and PHR®.
SHRM: National Wellness Institute is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit shrmcertification.org
NBHWC: The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) approves courses for the continuing education and training of National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC). Select National Wellness Institute programs are pending review and approval. The NWI CEC Approval Chart will indicate programs that are approved for NBC-HWC continuing education.
